2. What Data We Collect

Laboratory Data
Soil sample data, nutrient values, crop details, and analysis results entered by laboratory operators.

Farmer Data
Farmer name, mobile number, email, farm location — as provided by the laboratory.

Account Data
Username, hashed password, role, and audit log of platform actions performed.

Technical Data
IP addresses, browser type, and session data for security and platform functionality.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Providing and operating the SoilPro Cloud platform.
- Generating soil analysis PDF reports on behalf of laboratories.
- Sending reports to farmers via the WhatsApp and email delivery features.
- Platform security monitoring and fraud prevention.
- Customer support and technical assistance.
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on servers hosted in India (Render.com, AWS/Mumbai region).
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3.
- Passwords are hashed using scrypt — they are never stored in plain text.
- Daily automated backups with 30-day retention.
- Access restricted by role-based authentication with full audit logging.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We share data only with:
- WhatsApp (Meta): When the WhatsApp delivery feature is used to send reports to farmers.
- Email providers: When email delivery is configured by the laboratory.
- Legal requirements: When required by Indian law or court order.
6. Farmer Data & Rights
In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Bill (PDPB) 2023, farmers whose data appears on the platform have the right to:
- Access their soil report via the public report link.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Request deletion of their data by contacting the laboratory that entered it.
7. Cookies
We use session cookies only for authentication. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
8. Data Retention
Active account data is retained for the duration of your subscription. Upon account termination, data is available for export for 30 days. After that period, all data is permanently deleted.
